AI and Edge Computing Test Environment
In line with the center鈥檚 Native AI theme, the lab environment is being extended to support AI-driven experimentation. This includes computing infrastructure for edge cloud and on-premises cloud integration with the radio testbeds (for example, to test AI algorithms that run at the network edge or core). The lab鈥檚 open RAN network can be interfaced with AI modules 鈥� allowing testing of autonomous network management, real-time data analytics, and federated learning across devices. The integration of AI/ML-driven applications into the 6G test platform is one of the stated goals of the lab. This means researchers can evaluate how machine learning models (such as听TelecomGPT听or other AI agents) perform when controlling or optimizing network functions in a realistic setting.
