Millimeter-Wave and Terahertz Research Platform

The 6GRC Lab includes a Beyond-5G FR2 mmWave platform that operates in high-frequency bands. This testbed is focused on mmWave technology research, supporting frequencies in the FR2 range (24 GHz and above) and extending toward sub-THz bands. It is used to explore ultra-wideband communication techniques and propagation at mmWave/THz frequencies. The platform allows experiments with advanced beamforming, massive MIMO arrays, and channel modeling in these bands. It also supports investigations into the use of terahertz waves for future 6G links. The mmWave lab capability has significant educational value: it provides hands-on training for students, helping bridge theoretical concepts in high-frequency RF design with practical implementation and measurement. Students and researchers can prototype new antenna designs, waveforms, and algorithms in a controlled environment and observe their performance in real time.
