Physics PhD Student Wins Second-Best Oral Presentation Award at i2DM
Physics PhD student Khulood Alshehhi received the Second-Best Oral Presentation Award at the i2DM international Summit, organized by the Research and Innovation Center for Graphene and 2D Materials (RIC2D) in collaboration with the Phantoms Foundation, and supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Khalifa University Enterprises Company (KUEC).
The award recognizes Khulood’s excellence in scientific work and the clarity of her presentation. Her presentation showcased her research on electroconductive composite scaffolds designed as drug-delivery platforms for wound patch applications, highlighting a promising direction in advanced biomaterials and regenerative medicine.
Beyond the merit of her delivery, the award carries exceptional significance, as it is signed by two world-renowned scientists, 2010 Physics Nobel Laureate Sir Prof. Konstantin Novoselov and Prof. Yury Gogotsi, a distinguished materials scientist at Drexel University, renowned as the ‘creator’ of MXenes.
