Dr. Jamal Y. Alsawalhi received the BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees all in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 2009, 2011, and 2014, respectively. His research interest includes electric machines analysis and design, power magnetic material characterization, and power electronics. From 2016 to 2017 he served for year in the UAE military. He joined Khalifa University as a faculty member of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2017.
