Introduction & Vision
The KU Co-op Program aims to integrate practical work experience into our students’ academic careers, fostering early industry engagement and skills development. Starting in 2025-26, students will participate in two paid work-terms of 26 weeks each, with opportunities to work locally and internationally, all aligned with their discipline.
- Students will participate in 2 Co-op work terms
- Duration: Each Co-op lasts 6 months (26 weeks)
- 1st Co-op: Starts after completing 6 academic semesters scheduled during Summer and Fall semesters
- 2nd Co-op starts after completing the 8th semester scheduled during Spring and Summer semesters

Eligibility & Timeline
- Complete a minimum of 75 credits (including 15 major credits) by end of Fall semester preceding the Co-op
- Minimum CGPA of 3.25
- Completed GENS 300 before first Co-op, GENS 400 before second Co-op
Application Steps
- Receive invitation email via email alert.
- Attend mandatory Co-op orientation session.
- Create profile on Symplicity platform.
- Apply for positions relevant to discipline and interests.
- Prepare for interviews (workshops & support provided).
- Receive and accept offers.
- Submit signed placement agreement.
