Dr. Muhammad Umair Khan received his B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan in 2016. He obtained his Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Ocean System Engineering, majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, in 2019 from Jeju National University, South Korea. He then completed his Ph.D. in Ocean System Engineering, majoring in Materials and Electronic System Engineering, in 2022 from the same institution. Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Khan served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the System-on-Chip Center, Department of Computer and Information Engineering, Khalifa University, UAE from April 2022 to June 2025. Currently, Dr. Khan is working as a Research Scientist in the System-on-Chip Lab, Department of Computer and Information Engineering, Khalifa University, UAE.
Dr. Khan has received several awards: PhD Presidential Award from Jeju National University Feb 2022; Project Award Industry-Research Institute Research Project for Resolution of Social Issues, (Material and electronic devices based on big data) Jeju National University Feb 2022; PhD JNU BK-honor Award Jeju National University Aug 2021; PhD Outstanding Research Award Jeju National University Feb 2021; and Best Paper Award 4th International Conference on Composite Materials and Material Engineering Jan 2019. Dr. Khan is also a potential reviewer for several journals under ACS, IOP, Wiley, Springer, Elsevier, MDPI, etc.
